THOMAS
the messenger when you meet the messenger of the sunship, there is something that immediately strikes you as odd. perhaps it is his too-large eyes rolling around in the exposed skull, or the way he carries the faint, musty scent of crypts and tombs -- or perhaps it's just the way he still tries to smile at you while lacking a mouth to smile with, clacking the bones up and down to represent laughter. no matter what it is, it's creepy. while thomas may act like a normal dragon, he is the unfortunate carrier of a curse. he shares a body with an animalistic spirit that shapes and warps his physical cognition and reacts violently to threats. while the spiral himself may not really care much for any sort of violence, the curse he shares often causes him to wake up in a sea of blood. he tries to be nice to other people as much as possible, but clearly not everyone shares his views. of course, he's still the one who carries messages back and forth other clans -- it's a mild way to intimidate and manipulate someone by sending one of your strongest to deliver mere scraps of paper. when his animalistic side is taunted to come out, he loses thomas' raspy baritone and defaults to the clicks and screeches of animals, twisting its host's body in unnatural ways as the lights of the candles flicker and die out. there is little to no way to stop his rampage once it starts, besides running very far away. layout by Ninette modified by ophician |
