the priestess

masai is strongwilled and intelligent, refusing to compromise her ideas and values for someone's comfort. she fights for what she believes is true and searches for the truth and knowledge in everything she comes across. she often doubles as a spymaster because of her familiar, believing that all secrets would have to be revealed someday. masai doesn't know the meaning of "privacy" and preaches her opinions, asked or no. she's shrewd and cold, and has the peculiar ability to bend light to her will and create illusions.

in another life, she was someone powerful. someone who commanded hundreds of armies and sent them across the world to supposedly liberate them from the influence of the other gods. to masai, only one god was real -- the lightweaver, mother to stars and sister to dawn. now she acts as the clan's spiritual advisor and oracle, communicating her deity's message to her leaders so they know how to better navigate an event or avert a cataclysm. you will most often find her before the temple or perusing the library in search of arcane knowledge.
