 Eurys kleptomaniac | optimistic | materialistic Pirate / Overseas Merchant Eurys' parents had always rallied themselves to their child's side during her younger years. She had always been the good little girl, albeit a few incidents where she had been caught smuggling things out of another's home. Which, she was duly reprimanded for, as such a hatchling shouldn't be entertaining the idea of thievery. Next time, she would make note to be more discreet upon her next attempt. Due to her questionable actions, she was put to hard labor, spending a great deal of time within the confines of the mechanic's shop. Life continued on for the rather rambunctious Fae, ultimately severing ties with her parents when the time came for her to move on from her clan and family. There was more destined within her future, she simply had to go out and discover what would make her stand out from her family line. Using the spare treasure she had, she paid for a mage to change the circuit marks that stained her, along with the gem shine of her skin and wings, and the petite Fae body she had always despised. With a new look, she head out into the world, she was soon to be whisked away by the fate-bound sea. As she scoured the Shifting Expanse in search of reason, she stumbled upon a drunken Pearlcatcher, his words slurred as he sung about the ventures the sea can offer a dragon. Joining in his joyous tune, she too begun to sing along, intrigued by this curious fellow. Eventually, pleasantries were exchanged and the two's night delved into a night of wondrous company and comedic conversation. Eurys got to know more about the male Pearlcatcher, learning that he ran a rather small crew on a fairly medium sized boat, but according to him, it was enough to get the job done. Considering his drunken state, she escorted him back to his ship, but as she was about to depart, he offered her a job, his only request that she have the right skills to fit the bill. Telling of her skills in tampering with ships and other types of mechanics, he let her join the crew. With a roar of joy, she beamed, knowing that winds of change were upon her.

Eurys' life had never been the same after that day. She had, like most of the crew, been labeled as a fugitive, sought after for the multiple raids and thefts she had committed along side the crew whom she now called family. But the best thing was, is that she savored and enjoyed every minute of her new life. Certainly, she did jobs she didn't truly see in her future as a pirate, but that did not deter her from loving every single moment of her life. She cherished the freedom she now reveled in, finally feeling as if she had finally found where she had belonged. She could do whatever she wanted, and no one could stop her, the sea was her escape, her home. And for once, she felt welcomed. Eurys grew ever so closer to the male Pearlcatcher, whose name was Jean which she figured out after he awoke from his drunken stupor. Eventually, the two were like partners in crime, never seen apart, always sharing a laugh on the deck together. But things were not to last. Another ship, one much larger than their own, had raided them, sinking the ship and casting the crew within the bitter depths. The last thing she saw before her vision faded was Jean reaching a claw out towards her. When she awoke, she found herself damp, upon the hard cold floor of a jail cell. She blinked, groaning, pondering where she was. Soon, the memories of the night previous flooded her mind, causing her to jolt and cry out for Jean, her crew members, those who she had lost within the crashing waves and roars of triumph and angst. Soon, a fierce looking, masked, aqua Imperial had strode into the room, the observing gaze obvious despite his masked features. If anything, the mysterious dragon reminded Eurys of the wind or perhaps a river... it was rather pretty. Soon, he spoke, asking if she knew how to operate a ship. Soon making an agreement, Shigure had let her out of her cage, and together, the two pirated a fairly small, but make do ship from their ports. They set for Sea of a Thousand Currents, both excited for what awaited them within the Tidelord's seas. The two grew close, as they were the only two on the ship thus being the only source of conversation, but even so, they got along rather swell. Unfortunately though, the waves seem displeased, rocking the ship and casting Eurys into the waters below, leaving a stunned and worried Shigure alone on deck. Though it seems as if lady luck was on her side, as a inhabitant of the ocean saved her from the ocean currents that threatened to consume her. Claiming to be travelers, the two initially tried to shoo him away, but determined was he, and soon he accompanied the two to wherever the wind's ferried them to. Anuket was his name, and they learned his was a rather gullible dragon, but seemed rather intelligent despite this. Eventually, they landed within an Arcane clan, and now rest there as overseas merchants, as Eurys doesn't have the right materials to continue pirating anymore. Plus the rather strict rules Nyx has set considering pirating and what not. Though she still yearns to live the life she once lived, and hopes one day her and Jean will be able to reunite. |
