Biography
iix. ashes
‘for your crimes the court offers you mercy in the form of exile, may your journey be swift’
out of the sky he rained. hurtling downwards to the earth itself in a tiny metal tomb, so hot his skin still felt like it was ablaze.
ashes rained down when he landed, the earth scorched and burned as he made impact.
the court claimed they had had some kind of higher mercy when they sentenced him, when they had flung him across the horizon in a metal coffin to let someone else deal with him.
his scales were glowing with a white molten heat as he shuddered out of his vessel, every step he took agony as his flesh made contact with the cooling dampened forest soil.
this was not mercy. his body was now a prison of heat and pain and burning.
his mind twisted as he thought to himself how they used to adore him. thousands upon thousands of his brethren, all lined up in adoration, offering their very essence, the blood from their veins to him.
a cult of personality, none had been able to touch him.
and now where was he?
some forgotten forest in the back of beyond-
something whizzed over head and his body snapped up to catch it in his claws.
a fallen streak.
that meant…
all of a sudden his dulled senses came to life and he felt the magic swell around him.
oh how unfortunate for his enemies.
how unfortunate indeed, he chuckled to himself, a deep rumble shaking out of his lips that curled back to reveal shining jagged white teeth above a blood red beard.
