Biography

Rhea and Chronos are the progenitors of my new Gaoler subspecies-The Lione Noirs.
adding lore here: all Lore credit goes to @Silverfoxmage for their wonderful storytelling!

The majestic land of ice had come to be jail of a dark and sinister force that called itself the Shade. Its presence itself was enough to drive lesser beings into madness and chaos, and while some could resist for a time, every being that crossed its path succumbed to the darkness one way or another.

In the Icewarden's domain a cell was crafted to jail the darkness, the ice couldn't weaken the being of darkness but it was successful at making the being slow and sluggish. The Icewarden called upon several pairs of Gaolers to be the guardians, he knew they would have the strength needed to resist the call of darkness their will was that of justice and they served as balance for the lands.

After centuries of serving their great deity a pair found themselves caught up in a long forgotten ancient magic, a magic so old and pure that it separated their very souls from their corporal bodies. While their bodies were left behind to remain as guards of the great darkness, their souls found they were unable to rejoin to the bodies that once contained them so they scoured the ice fields.

They knew not how long they traveled before they came across a pair of beings unlike anything they had encountered before. The beings seemed to radiate with a magic so ancient that it called to their very core. This new pair called out to the ancient guardians and wove them new corporal forms before using sparks from their very existence to bind the wandering souls to their new bodies.

Born again, these ancient warriors now bear Ice, Nature and Ancient magics at their core, and their eyes once the color of ice now matched those of the beings that brought them back from the lands of wandering souls.

They, along with any offspring they chose to bore had the choice laid before them, they could either go back into service of the Icewarden, or they could join the pair that called themselves Drelarod and Runic as they continued their journey of discovery
