Savine is a bit of a wanderer. He has an unsavory reputation that occasionally precedes him—especially in the Southern Icefield. As a younger dragon he often got in trouble for stealing from his clanmates. He enjoyed the thrill of it and continually sought to raise the stakes by stealing more and more valuable items. Despite frequent discipline, his behavior never stopped and his clan was forced to exile him.

From there he stole from whoever crossed his path, making no effort to disguise his actions. Eventually he was captured and tried for his crimes. Savine doesn't speak of the punishment, only that he managed to eventually escape the Icefield and flee to the continent.

Embittered by his experience, Savine doubled down on his trickery but vowed to never be captured again. He traveled from place to place, never staying long, fooling those he encountered out of their gold and goods. He became known as a trickster and a con artist and was wanted in many regions.

After a time he came across the Lamplight Guild. He initially intended to just pass through, but after being injured in an attack in the wood he became acquainted with the Guild's healer. The two had a brief affair but mutually broke it off. Savine decided to stick around the Guild anyway, enjoying the company of similar individuals.

He formed a semi-legitimate act performing slight-of-hand magic tricks and acrobatics with Coruscate, another performer in the Guild, and has been with her and the rest of the crew ever since.
