Although dragons and Beastclans alike prefer not to admit it, there are more beings living in Sornieth than just those of flesh and bone, Instinct being one such spirit. A Bogsneak puppet animated by the tender love and care of a hatchling (and the gross misuse of Bogsneak mutagen), Instinct is nothing but grateful to the dragon who opened up so many new opportunities for trickery. Even if that dragon's clan immediately chased the "cursed spirit" out of their lair on noticing his presence.

During the later months of the year where the nights grow long and the shadows longer, Instinct has a tendency to disappear for long stretchers of time, though he always seems to be back by Nocturne's end. The only dragon adept enough to track him, Penumbra has been thoroughly questions regarding the details of Instincts yearly escapades. Her response rarely constitutes more than a far-off look of horror, and mutterings to herself about "that stupid spirit" and his "gang of creepy dolls."

  • Sometimes this creepy little thing will just show up in the clan hoard without warning, and disappear just as quickly.
  • Aside from that, spirits like Instinct might not be able to have true familiars, but he can pretend members of the Creepy Doll Gang™️ like Hecil are familiars anyway.
