Crayola watches on as Blitzshadow wades waist-deep into their artificial pond, his head close to the water. He moves with careful steps, eyes sweeping the surface. His tail is high, foreclaws folded against his chest. Crayola purrs a direction, sitting back on her haunches to point at the surface of the water.

Blitzshadow turns his head toward her indication and stops moving. The water around him falls still, then he strikes out with lightning speed. When he pulls his head from the water, he has a fish gently clasped in his mouth. It flops weakly, and he wades back to the shore.

He sets the fish down and Crayola scoops it up, cradling the small tetra in her claws. Blitzshadow pulls himself out, then moves several large stones into a shallow portion of the pond, blocking off a section. He nods to Crayola and she dips the tetra back into its new quarantine. It swims lopsided, a large bruise at its tail.

"Hopefully it will recover," Blitzshadow sighs, shaking the water from his scales. Crayola hums her agreement and nuzzles against Blitzshadow's shoulder to comfort him. He bumps her cheek with his snout and pulls away, saying, "I must return to Poyo's training. Go and ask the healer if there is anything we can do for it?"

Crayola nods and the two go about their daily routines.

HISTORY

Blitzshadow and Crayola were from the same Clan when they met. Unlike most blossoming romances, it didn't begin with traditional courtship. They simply spent more and more time with each other, naturally forming a bond. They soon realized how much they had in common, and before they knew it, they were a couple. There was no awkward exchange of "will you be mine"s, they just were.

Their relationship was tested when they ran their own Clan. The two had opposite schools of thoughts on some subjects, have different ideas about how a Clan should be run. But, somehow, they stabilized each other and their motley crew of clanmates was happy. Sometimes their love was tested, but they always found ways to apologize and make up.

If it weren't for their strong connection, they might not have made it through the storm together. They were weathering it in their den, huddled together and waiting for it to pass. When things started to collapse, when the wind tore through the construction, Blitzshadow thought quickly and Crayola's unconditional trust for him led them to safety. When all was done, they emerged from their shelters and rounded up the survivors.

Of which, there weren't many.

Blitzshadow gathered those that would rather stick with him and Crayola and they became refugees, traveling to Nature. The other options were Light, Plague, or Shadow, and when taken to a vote no one wanted to be in Shadow or Plague. Nature won the vote, so that was where they traveled. When Vanadevi and Vanaspati took them in, it was a blessing. Blitzshadow was opposed to giving up his position of power, but they didn't put up a fight and allowed him and his mate to be part of their council.

They needed someone with a military mind to help keep the Beastclans and imposing dragon clans at bay, after all. And after a few short months, they were able to clear more forest and expand their village, making more room for more dragons. Occasionally, he'll also offer his assistance when it comes to fortifying the Ivory Garden village, determined to make sure it doesn't befall the same fate as his Arcane home did.

For a time, everything was great in the Gardens. However, their expanding territory eventually couldn't expand any further and things became crowded as more and more dragons flocked to the oasis. Infighting began to occur, and it was with a heavy heart that Blitzshadow recommended taking some out of the gardens to find a new home elsewhere. He and Crayola rounded up volunteers and they set out together, once again finding themselves refugees.

This time, there was no vote. He and his mate decided they were going to live in the Tangled Wood. The volunteers with them agreed, at least, and they set out to find a new slice of home. After all, it didn't matter where they lived so long as they were together.

Upon establishing territory in Shadow territory, Blitzshadow had decided to go a different route. His clan would have a purpose, and a purpose would ensure the longevity of their clan this time. So, he set about building a massive resort for dragons of all walks of life - Point Noct.

PERSONALITY

He tends to come off as a bit of jerk, but somewhere in there is a big teddy bear. Usually, only Crayola gets to see that side of him, though. He currently is the head warrior of their group, fighting to protect alongside a select few to keep their friends safe. He is the firm hand behind Crayola and doesn't mind being the bad guy if he needs to be.

However, now that he is in charge of a tight-knit group of like-minded dragons, he's been more tolerable in social situations. He can have a good time outside of his duties and tries to leave work at work. Now that he's not running an entire clan, he's less stressed and is seen as a fun-loving dragon. He has a few issues with anger, but nothing that really gets in his way.

But, if driven to the point, Blitzshadow will hold grudges. He's been known to cut the poison from his life without hesitation. If someone earns his ire, they are cut off from communication. He simply finishes with them.

That tends to be how he reacts to most social conflict, even in arguments with Crayola, so rarely do they occur. Instead of hashing out the problem, he'd rather leave the situation altogether and pretend there's nothing wrong, letting it fester. Crayola, being the stubborn dragon she is, insists he works out his problems and keeps him sane.

THE OUTDOOR POND

Blitzshadow enjoys tending to his pet fish in his free time. He's very diligent about keeping them healthy.
