At first glance you would never have taken him as a captain of the guard.

A dancer, perhaps, or maybe even a poet. With those bright eyes and lighthearted smile it would be easy to mistake him for a bard.

But he takes his duty seriously. This clan is his, and now that he has a mate to protect–he would lay down his life for both Meriwether (though he knows that she is more than capable of defending herself) and Alexander–he cannot afford to slip up.

The only way an ill-wisher is getting to the clan is through him, and damn the Lightweaver if you think he won't spend his last breath defending those he loves.
