Mantus is the twin brother of Orcus, and adopted child of Nadeah. He and his brother were born from the same egg, which was seen as a dark omen by their parents clan. The two were abandoned shortly after their hatching and had to learn to fend for themselves very quickly, or perish.
Mantus is much quieter than his rather flamboyant twin. He knows his brother considers himself "the brains" and Mantus as "the brawn." He is content to take a backseat to his brother's vanity. He knows his twin would not have survived to adulthood without him caring for Orcus' health. The Pearlcatcher knows how to take advantage of his unassuming personality. It's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for....
