Cheyanne

Cheyanne is crafty and artistic. She can think of many odd solutions to simple problems, and can sometimes go as far as to make prototypes. But her dislike for being dirty often leads her to be unable to finish her projects.

She freaks out when she fully realises that she’s gotten a part of herself messy. Wanting to clean herself asap. Always having some supplies on hand to clean herself, especially for when she’s doing an art piece. She grooms a lot and takes super good care of her body- but doesn’t seem to do it for any kind of mate. Cheyanne has truly no urge for a partner, wanting to look her best simply because it feels good.

Cheyanne is quite beloved in Oasis clan, many see her as an aunty who crafts handmade presents. She occasionally tries to sell her pottery and paintings- that she manages to finish, in markets. Though this can be quite hard for her to do, since she never really thought about selling her art, and is often confused on whether she should be selling them at all. But the traded items are helpful and usually worth the loss of a pot.

Cheyanne knows little of the life she was saved from after being swept away as a hatchling from a dragon who choose scientific experimental 'improvements' over the nature ways of birth. Destined to become another genetic warrior, a life under the knife in the pointless strive for perfection Cheyanne was saved. Saved from such a fate by an older pair of Dragons, David and Frenusi showing her to a clan that knew the true meaning of family and how one is meant to live. One can still be a warrior and one can be strong but they have that power within themselves already not from the by-products of science.

Being a fighter was in her genes quite literally, Cheyanne always found she was more physically capable than other dragons her age. Stronger, faster, agiler. But even with such gifts Cheyanne never found the appeal in fighting, more in the appeal of moving more defensive to avoid conflict if she could. She was too carefree and cheerful to find the appeal in violence, more excited to fill her day with exploration and discovering the natural beauty of the world around herself. She still wonders about the nature of her birth, why someone could dislike such a world so much to try and change it was beyond her. Even the sunset had its own simple beauty painting the sky like inks spilt across paper, Cheyanne hoped she could find her own place in this wonderfully complex and beautiful world to find meaning more than just being a weapon.
