Crimson

Many consider love a fickle thing that comes and goes as it pleases. It's like a Sweetpuff; it doesn't come when you call for it sweetly but it'll annoy you til' you die the moment you don't want to see it. There were seven kinds of love, and yet Crimson couldn't get a single type of it.

Crimson, the renowned actress and passionate dancer whose chances of making it in the Shadow Flight were about as slim as the chances of her giving those dreams up. The Shadow Flight, as many would expect, was a kind-of gloomy place. I mean, what INTERESTING deity's idea was it to base an entire flight in a SINGULAR swamp and expect it to flourish while eating hallucinogenic mushrooms and then sleeping until the moon came out, beckoned by the sweet call of fair Artemis.
A Pearlcatcher with many lovers that loved her, and yet she did not reciprocate in the same way.

She had 'love', but she wanted more.

The story of Crimson isn't to say that many aspiring artists, and tango dancers alike, will not make it inside of the Shadow Flight. Merely, it's a cautionary tale to those who seek power and the love of their fans a bit too much... And rely on it a bit too deeply.

By the time she had reached adulthood, Crimson had achieved everything she had wanted in life. She had admirers, both male and female, and some even in-between; she had the best wardrobes, the finest silk, the finest facepaint for all of her shows, and yet she still felt like she was missing something. Soon, creativity had struck, and Crimson wished to make herself known across all the flights in the far far lands! She had gone touring across many domains, but never stayed for long, like love itself.

Across the entire world, all kinds of dragons of various statuses went to festivals. Various kinds, really. There were Galas, celebrations of old traditions, yadda yadda yadda; Crimson wasn't interested. She was a kindly Pearlcatcher, but not one quite interested in tradition.
Well, in one of the festivals, she had a chance to make herself known, ALL ACROSS THE WORLD! It was so tempting, she just HAD to sign up!

The time came, and she bid goodbye to all of her adoring fans, and went to the festival with all of her finest wares.

When the big day came, Crimson was sizing up as a rather lovely competitor, enthralling all the voters with her very infamy and fame as the great tango dancer of shadows! However, gossip birds began singing the song of praise for a Bogsneak that had defied stereotypes and decided to participate in the competition...
What was even worse, the Bogsneak had broken his left wing and had to get it removed, and so he was scoring all the pity points!

Some Pearlcatchers were rational, but Crimson was not. She stared in mirrors thinking one single thought:

"There's seven reasons this crown's not good as got."
And so the night of the festival, thus went her plot:

Q is for Kiara (Fae), quiet, stuck in the pool.
U is for Eunice's (Mirror) fashion [pieces] 'spread round the halls.
and E's are for the easy way, in five minutes tops:

A one-winged Bog can bring an 'N' to end by calling the cops.

Crimson, adored by fans in the Shadow Flight, had revealed her true face that day. She had all the love she could ever desire, but nothing was enough for the Pearlcatcher with the muddied heart. And so, Crimson had gained and lost all the fame in the world to a Bogsneak who just wanted to have a shot. The Pearlcatcher fled to the Arcane lands overnight, escaping the law and hiding with a Mirror that was none the wiser.
