Personality
Shirai is reclusive, and enjoys to keep to himself. He isn't very talkative, but he does try his hardest to be friendly. He 'leads' the clan, but in reality, he spends more time practicing magic and creating arcane concoctions. His father Norven typically does most things.
Early Life
When Shirai was born, the clan was run by an old Mirror, who passed leadership down to Norven's firstborn before Shirai was even hatched. The Mirror believed he would be destined to lead. At least, that's what he told everyone. It's possible he just got lazy.
Theta, the Mirror, trained Shirai in magical arcane arts, something the young Nocturne seemed to have a special fondness for, as well as a talent. He also seemed fond of the Arcanist, and their home within the Crystalspine Reaches. He would often travel to the Observatory to read and practice, things he did regardless of location. The Observatory certainly helped him focus, though. |

Current
Shirai now leads the clan in their new home within the Tangled Wood. The change of scenery hindered his mood further, causing him to be even more reclusive. His leadership duties are left with his father while he continues to train, read, and devote a good bit of his time to worship of the Arcanist, something the Shadow dragons within the clan don't particularly appreciate. He loathes the Shadowbinder, the darkness, and the strange plant-life, wishing they could all move back to the Starfall Isles. The only good thing, he thinks, that's come from this move is his partner El, his Smoke Gyre. They're very close, and El is, in Shirai's eyes, a wonderful sparring partner, despite being smokey and kinda small. Some of the dragons within the clan believe Shirai loves El more than Jorus, his own daughter. Clarence was a fling he didn't expect to happen, and pretends not to remember. Which, in turn, he pretends not to know Jorus is his daughter. |
