Originally a Coatl, she approached Delin with the topic of a breed switch. In the lair, switching one's breed is always a big deal mainly because most are happy as they are and switching requires a Magical Scroll, proper will, and giving the Progen's a heads-up. He gladly obliged in aiding her, staying by her side as she underwent the change from a small fluffy coatl to a lean and large Guardian. She seem's much happier.
Maru watches out for the young when their parents are away from the lair (or if they just need some space), guarding them as they climb and jump and test their wings on their mountainous home.
When the other's are on a hunt, she watches after the babes and keeps them all safe. She found her familiar one day, engaging in what she thought was stalking the eggs and feared she was trying to eat them;so fearful was Maru that she attacked without thinking.
What she didn't notice was that one of the eggs had been falling from it's carefully made bed of bamboo, and that the coiled creature was trying to nudge it back into place. After a brief scuffle and a hissed explanation, the snake beast was released from the Guardians jaws and carefully placed on the ground.After profusely apologizing, Maru offered the creature a home with her as a familiar and friend, and the two have been inseparable since. To this day no one knows how she managed to get up there...

Venomblade Assassin Familiar It is often far too late when one notices a Venomblade Assassin in their midst. If you're really lucky, a heap of treasure might turn into a mercenary partnership. 2100 Kitty Double-Tailed Warcat Familiar Double-tailed Warcats rival the size of many dragons. These fierce creatures are bred and trained as guardians by the Longneck tribes. 2500 Watermelon Kelp Tender Familiar These gentle creatures graze on the smaller algaes and grasses that occassionally take root on the surface of kelp forests. 2900 The Venomblade didn't have a set name but she would respond to 'Venomblade' or 'Snakey', if being called such by hatchlings. She had moved on now,but still remains one of the most Loyal familiars the lair has ever known. A patient Beast,Kitty allowed the babes to pull his whiskers and never once growled at them. As a creature of water, Watermelon spent her time in the small pools tended by Bog,but it wasn't uncommon for Maru to bring new babs down to visit her.
