Cairn is a passionately religious dragon, he was born in The Greatwyrm's Breach to a clan of highly spiritual Earth dragons. They traditionally exalted all of their young to the Earthshaker's services, and baby Cairn was reared to go care for his distraught deity when one Bogsneak named Canyon stopped him.
Canyon's mother lived in a Wind clan, far away in the Reedcleft Ascent, and that clan was in need of an Earth Representative. It came as a great disappointment to Cairn to be shipped off to the Windswept Plateau instead of to his beloved lord's lair to keep him company, but he refused to complain. There were ways to please the lord that didn't require being exalted, he was sure. Now the monk works on Kite's counsel with the rest of the Flight Representatives. There aren't many Earth dragons to represent in this clan, but he makes sure their needs are met, and still has free time to pray afterwards.  This dragon loves jewelry. Anything sparkly, especially golden or orange, is his favorite kind of treasure. He made his own Pyrite Pauldrons out of minerals that Flicker brought back from one of her excursions during Rockbreaker's Ceremony, when they were very trendy. his set is pretty lumpy, and undeniably looks a bit like big popcorns, but he loves them all the same. And he does do a lot of grooming. For a dragon with no fur or feathers it's a bit ridiculous how much time Carin spends in front of the mirror, but he's doing something right. He has softer, healthier skin than any of the clan's other Snappers. His favorite thing is when he can convince Eclipse to paint his nails for him. Gully is Cairn's familiar, a Crumbling Goblin that has a bad habit of ferreting away his new pieces of jewelry. Luckily, she always hides them in the same place every time, the ceiling rafters. So Cairn knows where it's gone every time. She also loves dust baths, every time she finds a soft sand pit, she rolls in it until she's completely coated, and tracks the dust all over the floor of their living cave. Cairn has stopped bothering to clean up after her.  Generally this dragon is kindhearted and serene, Cairn loves making gifts of the skipping stones and chunks of quartz he finds out on his hiking excursions. Though a wise dragon will avoid discussing religion with him.
