BIOGRAPHY
New Velucia | Necromancer 
Only a couple of days before hatching, the caretakers found that something was special with Teesha. They had to be twice as diligent, as danger seemed lured to her. One caretaker found a snake wound around the egg, sleeping. A night guard found glowing crystal insects swarming around that egg, yet leaving the others in the nest alone. Fearing for the nest's safety with such recurring events, the egg was separated from the other's. Insects swarmed it, reptiles rested near it, and even a faint, dark glow began to emanate from it. The birth of Teesha was a momentous occasion. The word of the strange occurrences had spread, and many dragons showed on hatching day to see the new mysterious dragonling. Once the egg cracked, every dragon seemed to hold their breath. The silence was quickly replaced with gasps as the creature emerged. Surrounded in black liquid and a sort of dark webbing, the caretakers were reluctant to tend to her. The newborn's cries remained unanswered until the shaman Mogtagu appeared. He reproached the inattentive caretakers as he approached the dragonling, hissing at the others as he walked by. "Are you're senses that deaf, my brothers, my sisters, that you would ignore such a birth of power into our clan?" Mogtagu cleaned the webbing from the wailing infant. Her gorgeous, deep wings were first, followed by her deep purple tail and back. However, an uproar of debates immediately began once the pup's head was revealed. "She's a monster..." "She wasn't meant to be born." "The egg should have been destroyed." The wailing of the dragon stopped as she peered into Mogtagu's eyes, with eyes she did not possess. Mogtagu was taken aback for only a moment, before turning to the insulting peers. "Silence!" The hatching room quieted, seemingly even the other hatchlings responded in like. "Have you forgotten why I wear such an appearance? Have you forgotten why I wear the skull of our first shaman?" The group chattered for a moment, before silencing once more, ashamed. "You have forgotten." Mogtagu seemed almost sad. "The first shaman was born much like this dragonling. His eyes were dark and empty, his flesh nonexistent. You act scared, disgusted even. Truly, your heads should be bowed in honor. No dragon has been born in his likeness in centuries, and yet, before you, is the miracle." Mogtagu lifted the dragonling, setting it closer to the group. "This child, Teesha, as her mother hath named her, is the most powerful being to be born in your petty existences. Shun her, and she will become your most feared enemy. Take her under wing, and she will be our most valuable ally." Mogtagu finished speaking, leaving dead silence. Teesha let out a small dragon screech, and it seemed to cause an immediate reaction. The dragon's began to lower their heads in respect, in shame, in acceptance, until the whole room bowed before her. PRESENT Teesha is an elusive dragon. Some greet her in awe, while others are still wary. Only Mogtagu treats her as an equal. She spends her days asleep, and her nights away from the clan. From a young age she was able to bring forth spiritual beings and dark shadows to keep her company. Now a young adult, she uses this power to aid her clan in battle. She sits afar, letting her summoned creatures do her bidding. She does not wait for praise once a battle is over, preferring to return to the dark depths of the forest and caves. Mogtagu is insistent that a partner should be assigned to her, as the chances of her finding her own is slim. Teesha is not against the idea, as she has seen in her dreams that her child will be equally powerful. Despite this, the clan's fear and hesitance overwhelms the possibility. Teesha seeks the one that is meant for her, the one who will appreciate her appearance and powers for what they are; otherworldly. PERSONALITY Teesha is quiet. She avoids confrontations and meeting new people. She spends the majority of her time in the company of the dark spirits that she raises, even preferring raised dead over the living. She lives with Mogtagu, and considers him family, though she still leaves for weeks at a time. She never explains what she does or where she goes. When asked, she will not confirm that she will attend a battle, seeming to choose in the moment whether she should or not. No one gives her commands, which works as she would refuse them anyways. |
