The dragons of the Hull consume all kinds of food at a shocking pace, which only increases as more dragons join. When Echidna came to the Hull, she saw the need for a garden and livestock. Loquaesa approved her request, after being assured that Echidna would not only be producing plants for Loquaesa's insect-inhaling Hull, and Echidna's skills in the preparation and storage of delicious food quickly grew to be deeply appreciated in the Hull. Echidna is a dragon ascended beyond a green thumb. Many dragons of the Hull will jokingly say, "She could roll through the mud and grow Potash Peaches!" Echidna isn't so prideful - she merely tends her garden, quietly getting along with everybody. Echidna's services as rendered to the Hull are paid in shelter and protection, but as the grower, Echidna of course gets the first pick of every crop she harvests. |

She tends to grow her garden in chaotic harmony. You wont find any neat or tidy rows in her crops - she grows crawling ivy carefully over peach trees, pinwheel paddies in harmony with green algae. It doesn't matter the season or the origin of the plant - give her a seed and she can grow it, but only in her special chaotically-sown way. While able to forage in any location the Hull overtakes, Echidna has claimed a particularly overgrown patch of Hull, where thorns from the Tangled Wood have merged with the very walls. These thorny once-cabins are rife with her influence, and small animals thrive in the varied ecosystem she lords over. Veldis and Sangria often rest within this wild place, small though it is.
Echidna's bane are the many pests which pilfer her seeds and disturb her helpful hives of Bumbles. She can often be heard shouting at Euryl about the imminent fate of his Sparrowmice. Her skills as a chef have won the loyalty of Zyfernon, and the burly Nocturne responds to Echidna's furious bellows almost as quickly as he does Loquaesa's battle howl. |
