Vejovis

Vejovis is, at his very core, a patient dragon. Originating from the Southern Icefields, he was an obvious choice for an apprentice to the clan’s jailer, Salvius. His suitability for the job of prison guard doesn’t just come from his character traits though: Vejovis is a very skilled and powerful mage and an expert in confining and retaining magic. He mostly keeps to himself, though one of his responsibilities as an apprentice is to keep Salvius company.

One might think that he and his mate Proserpine are the most paradoxical couple in all of Sornieth: A prison guard trained in confining magic and a freedom-loving academic with a mind of her own just don’t seem to work as mates. They do, though; and they do it well. Vejovis fell in love with Proserpine very quickly after meeting her, but his first confession was rejected. He decided to wait until Proserpine felt ready to be in a relationship with him, and his patience paid off seeing that they are in a very happy romantic relationship now.

Vejovis is incredibly proud of his accomplishments and will protect both his and his mate’s pride with fervour. He has great confidence in his own abilities and is convinced that he can brave almost every problem all by himself, an attitude that has gotten him into trouble a few times already. Still, Salvius greatly appreciates him as an apprentice and he has earned the entire clan’s respect through his talent and hard work.
