Chiku

Name meaning: Her full name is Chiku Kazutake (知久 和武), which is a Japanese name wherein the kanji for Kazutake (和武) can also be pronounced as "wa" and "bu," making the name literally "chikuwabu." Chikuwabu is a wheat-based Japanese food item that is frequently eaten as an ingredient in oden.

Chiku came from the Reedcleft Ascent of the Windswept Plateau.

Chiku is the most monotone of Faes and this tends to weird out others of her breed who are far more expressive than she is. They just don't get her and other dragons have a hard time understanding her because of this as well, so she feels like she just can't break through to anyone. Due to this, she has developed a complex where she feels like she is better off not existing because it wouldn't change anything. She covers herself as much as possible in wraps, hood, and mask because no one's going to look at her anyway, so she may as well try to pretend it's her choice to hide herself. (It doesn't really help her feel any better about it, though.)

But Wario eventually comes along and figures her out, so it'll be okay in the end.

Chiku and Wario found what they needed in each other (Chiku was the balance Wario needed and Wario was the off-kilter that Chiku needed) and became mates. When they made a nest together, Wario was especially pleased and relieved that there were four eggs, considering one of his nitpicks is families with an odd number of children. Chiku was perhaps even more relieved, having been worried that she might not be able to live up to the perfect image Wario had of her in his head. But Wario would have loved Chiku and their children regardless of what happened, which was proven when the number of Faes that hatched were more than Mirrors. Wario didn't care that it was an uneven split because this is his family - their family - and that makes it perfect.

When Chiku realized this, she started to understand everything Wario had been saying about her all along. Wario loved her because he saw the value in her that everyone had overlooked. She was perfect for him in the same way he was perfect for her. As long as they were together and happy, that was something incredibly special and nothing could change that.

Although, when naming their children, Wario would have been content to number them and leave it at that, but Chiku put her foot down after the first two and insisted on picking proper names for the others. She understood Wario's quirks, but despite how Wario would choose to refer to their children by number on most occasions, Chiku drew the line at forcing others to refer to them that way as well. Besides, Chiku worried that it would encourage some who didn't understand to tease them.
