Biography
Cable has a bit of a complex name background, so bear with me.
In my native Portland, Oregon, there is a coffeehouse called Rimsky-Korsakoffee, thus named after the legendary Russian composer, Rimsky-Korsakoff. One of his most famous works, and my definite favorite, one that has influenced me for many years, is the suite Scheherazade.
That coffeehouse is owned by a woman named Goody Cable, who still performs every odd while on the piano in the house's dining room.
Scheherazade is the name of Cable's mother, in more ways than just one. I love giving my dragons meaningful names, and for me, this is one with the most connection to myself, and to my world.
