Caduceus and Asclepius
the monster that was life and death all in one wandered the world endlessly.

”there is nothing I want more than to be alive

Consumed by the powers of darkness and all things evil the once innocent witch of nature Asclepius's body morphed, transforming from that of a beautiful and vibrant Coatl into a Spiral dragon who's magic and witchcraft no longer did deeds of good but of destruction and malice. He did not know why and out of fear he turned to a more powerful dragon; the last living elder of his clan. In this dragon's presence, a display of his corrupt powers went awry as he accidently struck and killed the last elder. In the belief that this mistake had been a planned attack he was shunned; beaten down until only shreds of him remained. The guardians of the temple revived him and split his body and spirit in two, the malice and hate becoming his tomb, a koi fish patterned creature who was destined never to become a dragon ever again; and his soul contained in that tomb- somehow creating a barrier that ensured he was entirely unable to perform magick while he still lived. This was his punishment for a crime he never intended to commit. He did not know it yet, but his powers on that day foretold much more than he would be able to comprehend at such a young age.

This dragon became Caduceus; a creature made of pure rage who seemingly only existed to further punish the young soul of Asclepius.
Despising what he had become and the body he did not accept as his own Caduceus, and Asclepius, wandered the Tundra plains slaughtering those who could not point him to the one who caused his transformation.
Inside the body of Caduceus two spirits waged war. Poor, ‘innocent’ Asclepius fighting as hard as he could against the unknown spirit that seems determined to destroy what remained of him in order to bring the world into total chaos.
After a long and painful fight against, ultimately, himself, the remaining soul of Asclepius was contained within that of a small pendant strung at all times around Caduceus' neck; laying Dormant until he could be freed once more.

With the dormant soul of Asclepius before his heart, Caduceus continues to wander to this day; with no allies or allegiance to any of the gods. He did not know why he had been created and that enraged him; fueling his destruction and killing. Caduceus was a dragon who did not want to be a part of the plane of the living but had thousands of years ago sworn to the ever pleading soul of the witch that he would never stop waking each dawn until he knew why he had been born.

To him, death was not simply dying, but giving in and freeing the spirit of the witch who so desperately insisted that he was innocent.
Caduceus was not a learned dragon by any standard of the word but he knew from the power he felt radiating around the hovering jewel at his neck that the spirit was a lot stronger than even he knew. Asclepius had been but a child when he had been sealed away. If he was to escape now there was no chance Caduceus would be able to defeat him; whether Asclepius was fighting because he chose to or not.
