Phlogiston is the clan doctor. He learned all kinds of different plants that can heal dragons with a simple touch, and knows how to treat wounds of all sizes. He has unparalleled knowledge. He is a brilliant Coatl who was discovered by Tempest wandering Arcane territory. He had recently been kicked out of his own territory due to his supposed 'curse.' For his unparalleled knowledge and healing power comes at a price. Though it looks like he has Gembond, he is actually slowly turning into a stone. Each time he heals a person with his power, or saves their life using his knowledge, a feather on his body shifts into stone. This pattern will continue until Phlogiston's entire body becomes a statue. But there is nothing he can do about this curse, so Phlogiston forges onward.

When Phlogiston heals a dragon, he actually transfers his own life energy to them. This is why his feathers turn to stone.

Phlogiston is Soulbound to Jyotika, and the two share a passionate, and intense relationship. Phlogiston and Jyotika are scarcely seen apart, and seem almost like the same kind of dragon.

Phlogiston was recently discovered to be a very rare type of Coatl called a Phoenix Coatl. After healing a Weakened dragon of the clan, his entire body turned to stone and he froze in place. After several moments of acting as a statue, the rocks crumbled and turned to dust. Phlogiston was then reborn from this dust. His status as a Phoenix Coatl is a rare genetic mutation which only manifests in a dragon once every ten thousand years. With this mutation, Phlogiston is no longer afraid to heal every creature who needs his help.
