While he was originaly born into an island clan off the coast of The Shifting Expanse, he never felt like he belonged. So at an early age, he and his twin brother left for a mainland clan. The didn't stay there long as they still didn't feel like they quite belonged. They found the older they got the more they yearned to be close to water once more. So They left The Shifting Expanse all together for The Sea of a Thousand Currents. They struggled for a long while before getting seperated from each other in a tragic storm on the border between the The Shifting Expanse and The Sea of a Thousand Currents. Tahiki was picked up by Aconite and his crew and agreed to let him joined to crew while he looked for his lost brother.
