Poincian was named after the tree he resembles that grows near the clan. He resented his name-named after a flower- and so became a warrior, hunting and killing in the coliseum for glory and spoils. He's shady and angry but it's really hurt and he's not a bad dragon really. His mate Fern calmed and tempered him until she was lost in an accident involving the night watch and beastclans. After the tragic loss of his mate Fern, he has withdrawn from the clan and become more obsessed with becoming stronger, wrapping himself in black to hide his iconic coloring.

Eventually he moved away from this former clan as it disbanded not long after Fern's death due to the uprising of unhappy mercenaries that weren't paid in the old clan. Soon Poincian found himself lacking in purpose, until a small whisper somewhere deep within his blood told him to listen and hear it's request...
