Nacro is one of the clan’s hunters, who is responsible for helping keep the food stores stocked up as much as possible. And while he is very good at his job, Nacro originally wanted to be part of the guard, something of which he believes should have happened. Ausha gives him opportunities to prove himself worthy, but with his poor teamwork skills, he has yet to pass any of her and Argok’s tests.

- Hatchling Biography -
Nacro was born into a mirror pack that roamed throughout the eastern territories. He was one of the pack’s sturdiest hatchlings, strong and fast and resilient, but was often ostracized by the other hatchlings due to his moody disposition.

His parents tried to encourage him to be more social, since being part of a pack requires a great amount of teamwork and certain social graces, but Nacro was not the least bit interested, which was something that did not seem likely to change.

And it didn’t.

- Adolescent Biography -
As Nacro grew, he only became more reclusive and snappish. He gained himself a reputation among his pack members and soon others began refusing to pair with him on hunts or missions. The pack tried to reason with him, saying that if he wanted to stay with the pack, then he needed to understand that teamwork and communication were essential, but Nacro continued to just brush them off.

It almost seemed to take a couple times, usually after he’d gotten himself backed into a corner and needed someone else’s help, but he would then just pretend the incident never happened, much to the other’s frustration.

Eventually, the pack couldn’t take it anymore and after multiple “last” chances, Nacro was essentially beaten and chased off.

- Adult Biography -
Cowed by his new lack of a pack, the normally unruly mirror had to learn a new set of skills if he wanted to stay alive. Traveling alone was always ill advised within the pack, but it was never deemed impossible. And Nacro learns with time that it is quite possible and, for one as averse to social situations as he, quite enjoyable as well.

Many summers pass before Nacro meets Ausha, who’d been on her way back home from a diplomatic meeting that required her presence. He’d been injured, from a hunt gone wrong, and while he initially snarled warnings at her, Ausha couldn’t bring herself to leave him. When he finally gave up fighting her, Ausha brought him back to the lair to nurse him back to health.

After being fully healed, Nacro was unsure of what his next move should be. He could leave, get back out on the road, travel as he had been. But Ausha had made it clear that if he wanted to stay, then they would welcome him. But if he wanted to leave, then they would honor that and make sure he had what he needed, which he found he greatly appreciated. They were giving him a choice, something he never really had with his pack.

Eventually, Nacro decided that if joining this clan meant having access to food and supplies, then maybe it wouldn’t be so bad and after a discussion between the two leaders it was decided that he could stay, though Dak agreed with some reluctance, worried about how Nacro would get along with the other dragons.

He originally wanted to enlist and be part of the clan guard, but was instead designated as one of the clan's hunters, which they deemed more fitting for his personality. Angry at the subtle rejection, Nacro took to the position with determination to prove himself worthy of the guard. But he does enjoy hunting, so it helped lessen the bitter sting. Nacro proves to be a great hunter, which Ausha is happy about for more than one reason.

Because while the combative mirror was a great addition to the clan skill wise–personality wise? Not so much. Despite being kicked out of his pack for his awful personality and poor interpersonal skills, his attitude does not change when he joins Ausha's clan. He often snaps at anyone who tries to talk to him or just ignores them completely. When he first joined, he had no friends, though not for a lack of effort on the clan's part.

However, he eventually befriends Nero, another dragon similar to Nacro in the fact that they're both antisocial and temperamental. Ausha and Dak were glad when they became friends, but were also slightly worried as the two seemed to have a very...odd relationship.

It is not uncommon to come across the two completely ignoring each other or getting into explosive fights. They’re sometimes bad enough that Nero, who seems to abhor physical touch, will actually attack Nacro. The mirror gives as good as he gets despite his size and fights back and usually the two have to be separated to give them time to cool off.

Civil moments between the two seem to be rare, but when asked, they refer to each other as a friend. Ausha thinks that they both need some therapy. Dak tends to agree.

Despite his terrible social skills, Nacro, deep down, is grateful to Ausha and Dak. But he is also still bitter over what happened with his pack and his inability to get into the clan guard. To ease, or completely ignore, these negative emotions, Nacro goes to the training grounds to see if anyone will spar with him.

And while most assume that Nero would be his sparring partner of choice, his most common partner is actually Vax. Because he needs to fight someone who he can go all out on and not have to worry about seriously hurting them and getting in trouble. He’s not aware of specifics, but he knows that Nero doesn't like touch and as much of a jerk as Nacro is, he wouldn't force his only friend to do something he clearly doesn't want to do. So when he feels those urges, he spars with Vax if he can. The wildclaw is impossibly fast for a bipedal dragon and as agile as a fiendcat. If Nacro somehow manages to land a hit on him, he knows that Vax won't complain and he won't ask questions in the aftermath.

He wouldn't call Vax his friend, but he appreciates the mutant's company all the same.
