16444.png Kash always wanted to stay by the nest. He cried in fear when his parents took him on their missions to exorcise the souls of the emperors, and he dared not step claw out of camp after his sister was hatchsnatched. Instead, he stayed in the confines of the faes' amber nest, only coming out when called. His parents worried after him. How would he ever learn about the world outside their nest?
What his parents didn't know, however, is that in his dreams, Kash was going farther than any dragon before him. Whenever Kash closes his eyes to rest, he travels into the mind of another dragon- specifically, one who has recently perished in some form or another. He relives their last moments, witnessing a secret killer, or some unknown danger. And then, he lives with the knowledge the spirits pass onto him. As this happened more and more often, Kash could no longer ignore the weight of what he was seeing. 16438.png
6350.png He left home. Kash began telling lawmen and guards what he saw, trying to ease the spirit's voices in his head. And soon, that became his official job in wherever he called home. A snitch. He preferred to remain anonymous, so that he did not become the target of any murderers himself. However, these precautions seem not to have helped, because lately he's been having the same dream every night, about the same dragon who isn't dead yet. A dragon, brutally murdered by someone he cannot see. And that dragon is himself.
