Cirque is a Broodmother in the Kingdom of Escea's hatchery. Instead of everyone having their own children and families, most dragons in her Kingdom donate all their eggs to the Royal Hatchery, where they are raised by nurses and then sent to families who wish to adopt, or kept to work in the Palace should they so choose once they grow older. Cirque was one of these hatchlings who chose to stay, and become a Broodmother. She was then adopted by the Queen herself, Uranus. The Hatchery had never had a male broodmother before, but they figured that there was so harm in it as Cirque loved her assigned hatchlings just as much as any other nurse.

She is also training part-time as an apprentice to a magician, in hopes of learning more advanced magic. She wishes to discover a spell to finally make her body female. In the meantime, her tailor friend has made her a foam bra to wear, that gives her the appearance of having breasts. It works jut like a push-up bra, except the whole thing is filled with foam instead of just the bottom. She doesn't feel right if she doesn't wear it.
