He came looking impossibly exhausted, with unnatural horns sprouting from his head and wings broken and dragging on ground as scarred as he. His last words before he collapsed on the edge of your territory, unheard but by a lost vegetarian yeti who decided to stay by this broken thing, were that he'd lost himself, but found them, finally.

The beast did not understand his words, but knew of the vicious, tight-knit dragon clan that would surely take him in. Or, if he was not strong enough, or did not give the right answer to the fever dreamers' questions, he would be fought. In his weakened state, "fought" was such a hilarious overstatement; "shredded apart" was more likely. So the beast stayed, out of some strange kindness it had found.

When the blood-shaded dragon awoke again, black antlers heavy like his eerily empty conscience, he was in an unfamiliar lair, heated air pressing down on him. There were eyes on him, red like his own, though he had not recognized his birth flight in a long, long time. He hardly recognized his reflection in the fae's soft eyes, nor in the bogsneak's sharp gaze. But there was one weak memory that pushed out of his dark mind, a clarity in his fog.

"I am Baron."
