Biography

Nickel Ore Nephrite
the armorsmith
A variety of jade derived from the greek word for kidney, used for both jewelry and weapons in ancient times
Raw Jade

Maybe one day he'll get genes. You never know.
Sizeable Fellow, bigger than Aidan; honestly didn't notice he was gen one until years after taking him off the AH (very cheap)
- Neph is the careful set of hands behind most of the clan’s armor, learned in a wide number of materials to make custom pieces. His trade is open to anyone with a good purse, but those for his clanmates are often the finest sets, if only because he’s around to make sure they take care of them.

- He believes in function as an important part of beauty, and refuses to be accountable for an unreliable set if a client refuses to listen to him and his sometimes unusual requests throughout the process of creation. This includes test fights, bizarre questions, awkward size measurements, surprise attacks, and sudden demands to be left alone.
In a clan like this, dragons get used to it. He’s hardly the craziest of the bunch.

- If a dragon only cares about the style of their armor he’ll let more pass, but only if the client has a deep enough purse and garnered enough of his anger. Those who earn his dislike tend to end up with deceptively pretty results.

-originally trained by master of an old clan in near the Great Furnace, but as he got older he found the region's focus on efficient production prevented him from growing as a smith. He'd only be entrusted with small things like gears and bolts or crafting suits of small dragons like himself. More than that, while his clan's techniques were highly sophisticated, they were not interested in learning new styles or mediums other than metal. How limiting to further growth! Nephrite decided to leave in order to learn the regional techniques of other flights and clans, as well as to start a more rewarding business where he could work on more ambitious projects. Somewhere along the way he encountered the Grotto, and decided that joining a guild of sorts would be useful to him- reliable supplies, contact with other artisans, food and security when business was poor- and that the exploratory nature of the Grotto suited him. The arrangement has proved to be of great benefit to them both.

Employee and close associate
Some dragons new to the clan assume the two of them to be mates, but they'd be wrong- their relationship is closer to that of bickering siblings
