"Children of the Plague witch and the mechanic are mostly either noisy and rambunctious, or quiet and withdrawn, taking after their father or mother. Plague magic is highly saturated in their bones, and they are fairly adept at manipulating it. Some may lose control, but eventually, most are able to regain it. While they may lean a little towards the sinister, a fair number choose to use their abilities for good.

A few do take after their father, of course, discovering their interest in the technical side of things. A combination of both science and magic would be a force to be reckoned with, surely. They are the most strongly bound to the Plague, and survival and adaptation is, naturally, a large factor in how they behave and react."



These days, Vassago has left his parent's home in favour of travelling. He still hones his abilities, taking any opportunity to learn and to sharpen. He had offered his talents to law-enforcers, offering to bring back wanted criminals for a sum of money. So far, his wanders have taken him from the Abiding Boneyard to the Starwood Strand, from the Carrion Canyon to the Cloudscrape Crags...

And this is where he ran into trouble. Having hailed from warmer lands, Vassago had been woefully unprepared for the cold that would numb him from snout to tail, and had made a pitiful attempt at escaping the fields of snow that seemed to expand as far as the eye could see. His attempts were undermined by the snowstorm that had swelled to the point he couldn't even see five feet in front of him and had accepted the fact that likely, this was where he would die.

An Imperial had come to his rescue, shielding him from the snow by covering him with a (massive!) wing, effectively saving Vassago from ending like just another frozen statue on the side of the road. Even now, he's extremely thankful for this unexpected portrayal of mercy he'd been granted, and still sticks to Vetur's side these days, having teamed up as a bounty hunter team.
