Rex was quite used to receiving any number of insults, though he really didn’t deserve any of them. After the “incident” that produced his breed, a number of clans across the Sonerith had responded with varying degrees of curiosity or animosity, and there was very little in-between. As a hatchling in his windy homeland, Rex could rarely wander about in the light of day without getting a snide comment or repulsed side-eye. Even when alone, he often felt a pang in his heart for not being able to join his Wind brethren in the sky as they enthusiastically danced through the air. As he grew older Rex developed into an inquisitive and intelligent dragon, but the sense that he didn’t quite belong grew as well. Thus, he often kept to himself, tucked away in some library or other reading about science, the arts, and astrological phenomena’s. He learned about star patterns, alchemy, botany, calligraphy. He studied how to develop scientific hypotheses, then test them empirically. But most of all, his favorite things to read about were other mutated, impossible creatures that roamed the world. Learning about Fallout Streaks, Acid Serpentas, even Mana Thief’s, made Rex feel a little less alone in the world.
One day, Rex stumbled upon an ancient text that described the incredible nature of the Starwood Strand, a place filled with unique curiosities and mysteries. He knew immediately that this dark, star-filled world would be perfect for a oddity like himself, and without even saying goodbye, left all he had ever known for the strange Isles.

Rex was never the one to like the damp, dank living conditions of the cave he was raised. The smell of rotting wood and plant material was ever present and Rex knew he didn't belong. He felt dirty in that environment, on top of being terrorized by other dragon breeds in the area. He understood why his mother kept such a close eye on him and made sure he nest was naturally well defended. Under a rocky ledge, deep in the ground she made sure any intruder would go through her before her chicks and Rex thanks her for that. However, he still got out as soon as he could, with his bright mind and natural curiosity for knowledge guiding him.

Personality - Rex is a well mannered and intelligent individual. He doesn't usually talk much, but he isn't afraid to strike up a conversation. He's often very light hearted and it rare to see him irritated unless it concerns his work.

Mate - None, he's to interested with other things to really have time for anything serious. However, he is quite fond of a nocturne named Chua. As for enemies, Rex has a distate for any dragon who sees his breed as a mistake. He also has a distaste for the cruel individuals that call themselves 'scientists', yes experiments are sometimes needed, but what's the point if you kill the thing you're trying to research. Not to mention other difficulties that come from such brainless practices.

Clan Role - Rex is a scientist with a very wide range in what he researches. From disease to why secrets behind flight magic, he researches just about anything.

He often notifies people of interest when he finds something they seem to be curious about. Whether it's what's wrong with the garden or a discovery in medicine, he'll let them know.
