I imagine that fish have no word for water.

Role

After dabbling in quite a few professions (notable mentions include punk rock musician, seafood chef and biker), Em has finally settled on fishkeeping. Schools of minnows and shalefin swarm in his self-made tanks embedded within the walls of the Manor, and octoflyers glide gracefully through the corridors, aided by tiny jet packs and water-breathers. Ironically, he himself is an avid piscivore, and his knowledge of fish seems to help in choosing the tastiest specimens. Battle-wise, Em likes to stay above the clouds and observe, periodically booming out surprisingly ruthless and intelligent strategies to Al disguised as blasts of thunder.

Personality

Em is a quick-witted and intelligent dragon who speaks with the speed of a Spiral and changes topics just as fast. He is wilful and headstrong, but he shoulders the heavy responsibilities of his breed remarkably well. Like a true Lightning dragon, Em is very concerned with personally changing the world for the better and leaving his mark. And like a true Imperial, he wholeheartedly throws himself into whatever passion he happens to be pursuing, often obstinately going for days without sleep or food just to prove that he can complete any project he undertakes.

Background

Emilio is the oldest dragon in the clan. On those rare occasions that he drops the joking façade and becomes solemn, the other clan elders know to always listen. Even Al will sometimes turn to Em for advice, and has relied on his tactical and strategic experience many times to get the clan out of tight spots. Some may find it odd that a Lightning dragon is so enamoured with aquaculture of all things, but you try living as long as Emilio has and finding a hobby that hasn't already been studied to death by your fellow Imperials.

Relationships

Not many dragons are privy to an Imperial's private life, but Em and Sigrun make no secret of how much they care for each other. He relies on Sigrun to ground his electrical discharge, and never battles without her. Em respects his mate's opinions a great deal, and she is one of the few who can make herself heard over his lengthy monologues (he even talks right over Al). However, they are very discreet when it comes to rearing hatchlings, and only Orion has had the privilege of meeting their newborns. Em often shares a nice mug of energy drink with Valerian, and the pair of Lightning dragons like to commiserate together over how little sleep they've gotten this week.
