Personality: Valagon takes after most of his mother's personality and is usually very quiet and meek. He is even more introverted than Lorena and prefers to be alone, unless Lorena or Lepidoptera plan to accompany him. Admittedly, Valagon is a huge dork and is not very intimidating at all, despite his species. He is very superstitious and wears a pastel spinel necklace as a futile attempt to ward off any bad luck. The Bogsneak also has a stutter and gets embarrassed when he talks because of it; thus, he generally stays mute and prefers communicating with gestures unless necessary.

Familiar: Belladonna the Umbra Wolf. Belladonna found Valagon as he was fishing at night in the Wandering Contagion, and it is not unreasonable to think that her sudden appearance gave the Bogsneak a big fright. Valagon initially tried to get rid of her, thinking that her presence was a sign of bad luck, but he eventually relented and let her follow him. It is unknown what Belladonna's true nature is; some speculate that she is a guardian of Valagon, while others think that she really is a bad omen and is destined to plague Valagon with unluckiness as long as she lives.

Reputation: As the child of a long-distance pairing, Valagon is looked at with fascination from his Clanmates, which tends to fluster the bashful Bogsneak. He frequently gets asked by hatchlings about his origins yet refuses to answer them, making him a favorite target of gossip for the Clan's hatchlings. Valagon is generally close with his mother and is aware of the existence of his siblings; he is also aware of Tyto's existence but is intimidated by him to some degree and probably would not visit him unless forced to. Moreover, Valagon adores his best friend, Lepidoptera, and the two are currently very close with each other.

Backstory: Valagon was born as part of a breeding project between Lorena and Tyto, the latter being a member of a neighboring Shadow Clan. He was born in Tyto's Clan (hence his purple eyes), but he went back with Lorena to the Sorexians just a few hours after he hatched. His other siblings either stayed behind with Tyto or were given away to different Clans. As a hatchling, he was expected by his Clanmates to be intimidating and aggressive, so they were surprised when he turned out to be quite the opposite (mostly due to inheriting most of Lorena's personality). He also grew up spending his time around the Clan's mediums, and he soon became influenced by their superstitious nature. Valagon initially aspired to be a medium when he came of age, but he became a fisher instead when he learned that the Clan could only have one medium and an apprentice. During his time as a fisher, he met a Wildclaw named Lepidoptera and was initially unnerved by her conservative nature, but the two became friends as time passed. One day, Valagon woke up after a nap and realized that his feelings for Lepidoptera extended beyond friendship and into love, but he decided to shrug it off in hopes that they would go away. When they persisted, he became distressed and tried to distance himself from Lepidoptera so they could go away. Valagon soon felt guilty about leaving his friend/love interest, though, so he ended up being with Lepidoptera again. During that time, Valagon managed to reveal his feelings to the Wildclaw, and he was surprised when Lepidoptera told him that she had feelings for him too. At the moment, Valagon is living a peaceful life in the Clan, and he plans to have hatchlings with Lepidoptera when the lair is large enough.
