Nyx has loved Nox since they came together and escaped the nightmarish denizens of the Shifting Expanse who toil away endlessly under the sun. That was never something she could have imagined herself doing since she was very young. Work was work, and she preferred to sleep and play. Nox was of such a like mind they easily ran away together chasing the same fantastical ideals of never working another day in their lives.
She and her mate quickly learned that life required work to survive; food had to be hunted, clothes had to be washed, and shelter had to be made or found. Being alone out there in the wilderness of Sorenith was miserable and unfriendly. When she thought that they would lose their lives for sure to angry beast clan warriors who caught them stealing from their food stores a valiant guardian dragon chased the beasts away and stood over the huddled and scared spirals like a dark Knight in phosphorescent armor.
Sure he was more than a little strange, but she was thankful for him, because without him she and Nox would not live to snooze through another afternoon. She was flattered to hear that she had been magically chosen to become his charge, and graciously she accepted the extra attention. He was sweet, not all there, but very kind and happy despite how blank his expression or monotonous his voice.
She convinced her mate that the Search was harmless but essential for a guardian dragon and that the poor thing was so riddled with Mushrooms that he was not fit to be any competition for her heart. She also suggested that they take up Nier's invitation to join hime back to his home clan where they would be safe from harm.
Pleasantly surprised by Clan Dark Ryse, Nyx was happy to accept work, food and shelter from their savior's Queen. She has never been so happy to work for a cause in her life than she has become now as a Messenger of Dark Ryse.
