To listen, but to learn? Narcissus speaks sometimes in rhyme, sometimes in riddles. He doesn't mean to be indirect, it's just that sometimes his mind wanders and he loses his train of thought, derailed and heading towards a completely different direction than he thought it would take, and he learns new things all the time by going the wrong way--but is it the wrong way if in the end he has expanded his mind, and accomplished more than he ever thought possible? Or is that just crazy talk?
He is lucky to have a patient and loving mate, Venus, who doesn't seem to mind his starry-eyed ramblings, verses of hope that he can't seem to hold back.
