Gold is not the only thing that shines. Precious metals are precious only for being popular--and Hephaesta loves the shine of pretty things, but she understands that the real beauty of life is in making friends. She is the hatchling of a Plague mother and an Arcane father, with grandparents of Shadow, Nature, Ice, and Light; she is perfectly suited to be the liaison to many different flights.
The first time she saw Midas, she was awestruck by his glorious scales and convinced him that they were perfect for each other. So much for looking beyond the surface!
