Biography

Thaw is a veteran member of a martial squadron and one of the king's secondborn children. He garnered a negative reputation in his youth for taking excessive joy in battle and for dishonoring his foes by taking no mercy on opponents who yielded. He is named for the melting snow and coming spring and, much like his namesake, Thaw mellowed with age. He took a leave of absence from the clan military to learn the ways of allied beastclan militias. He traveled to many regions with migratory Dunhoof Centaurs and slowly began to see the merit of honorable combat.

He returned after three years with a newfound respect for the kingdom's martial philosophy. He is now the founder and leader of The Gold Watch, the king's personal order of knights. He took vows that require him to protect the throne; these vows also make him unable to take the throne himself.
