Stratix

A former Shin-Ra fighter pilot and operative, Stratix followed in the footsteps of his father, a skillful combat pilot who was reported as killed in action when Stratix was six years old. He never knew his mother; she died mysteriously barely a year after his birth. Because he was so young when it happened, Stratix never thought to question his father's death until a couple years into his career as a Shin-Ra combat pilot. He stumbled across some questionable files detailing the operation his father was assigned to, and sensing that something was off, went digging deeper, hoping to find answers. Stratix discovered that his father was purposefully sent to his death, him and his loyal wingmate both, after he found out about some of Shin-Ra's cruel and inhumane experiments- namely one listed as 'Project X'. Enraged and deeply betrayed, Stratix abandoned Shin-Ra and went rogue. Several years later, after Shin-Ra had been taken over by a proper president, Rufus Shinra, and the horrible experiments stopped, Stratix met Cyriel, a fierce warrior horribly scarred by her past experiences. Feeling bad for her, he took her under his wing, patiently reassuring her over and over again that he wouldn't hurt her or her adoptive brother Velvek. He comforted the lonely warrior and traveled with her, building up her trust and eventually managing to get her to relax almost completely around him. When Mara and Uldren Sov were killed in battle against the Taken King, Oryx, Cyriel was devastated and Stratix remained by her side, helping her through the loss of some of her closest friends. Cyriel herself was Taken by a risen Taken Prince from the Dreadnaught, and despite this and the danger presented by the Taken influence and forces of Ninre the Taken Queen, he went after her. Stratix sought out a dangerous mercenary fighter pilot called Chains, one who had overcome the will of Oryx before, and even dared to take him prisoner- at least until Chains calmed down and agreed to aid Cyriel. Eventually, Stratix helped in breaking the Taken hold over Cyriel, and he now stands at her side as Cyriel makes ready to become Kell of the Fallen house that respected and treated her the best- the House of Winter. Stratix is currently learning how to pilot Fallen skiffs and pikes, and teaching them to pilot jets.
