No one knows how exactly Picardie looks like... Maybe except Beauvais, her best friend. She always hides behind her hood, and tells others various stories. Her favourite story is The Legend of The Star of Besseges. That's why you can often find Besseges near her and carefully listening her. That sometimes irritates Saint-Nazaire, his teacher, because she doesn't believe in that legend.

Her childhood isn't well known. She doesn't like tell about it. She doesn't like her birth place, she thinks that she just doesn't fit in that busy place which is The Shifting Expanse. She were wandering for so many years, looking for any place for her. The longest time so far she spent in The Tangled Wood. There she learned how to be a perfect storyteller. Then she met a very young Beauvais, who was just looking around, what's happening in The Tangled Wood... Beauvais' fire-like light tail end stood out of the darkness of The Tangled Wood. Picardie was interested in that mysterious newcomer.

She came to him soundlessly. Young Pearcatcher male got scared. After a while he saw, that next to him is sitting an other purple Pearlcatcher. That was Picardie. From the beginning they knew that had to be their destiny. She fell in love in Beauvais. He fell in love in Picardie too. For a long time they were secretly meeting. Then Thibaut began to guess that Beauvais has secret meetings with someone. One day, she just followed Beauvais. He saw Picardie. Then he interrupted that meeting, explained he's a leader of clan, where Beauvais lives and asked Picardie if she want to join it. She agreed.
