Solanum works alongside her colleague Cera to research the arcane arts and create spells. Unlike Cera however she works to create spells which can be marketed to others and allow her to make some treasure. Most of her revenue goes towards funding her and Cera's research and projects.

Unluckily, Solanum was right next to Cera when one of his spells accidentally exploded and covered them both in gunk. She was furious and verbally assaulted Cera to no end. When she realized that the pustules growing on her body were a result of his failed experiment she refused to talk to him for a week.

Of the two, Solanum is the more level-headed. She takes care of all the communication necessary in their line of work since most dragons seem to erroneously assume that Cera is dense due to his muteness. She has no problem putting others in their place, especially when they insult Cera or their work. She also takes care of all the marketing of their usable spells and magical objects.
