Perla is a princess who knows what she wants and how to get it. She has a preference for the prettier things in life and will go out of her way to acquire them. She prides herself in being self-sufficient, but she knows the value of having trustworthy companions to back her up. Still, she prefers to fight with carefully chosen words than with physical attacks, as she doesn't see the point in getting herself dirty in a tussle unless she has the right motivation for it.

Her parents (Akoya and Ibushi) are mated with Kinshiro, who is like another father to her, though she takes more after Akoya with her self-sufficient princess attitude. Kinshiro does his best to make sure she and her sisters (Perlite and Argent) grow up to be tough and strong, but she always says "I have better things to do." Argent has to drag her to Kinshiro's training sessions every time or else she won't attend.
