Biography

Omen
Reserved || Compassionate || Self-Concious

Omen had grown up being told that he was destined for greatness. As the youngest child of a busy clan figurehead, this was sometimes hard to believe. He was, after all, the last in a long line of heirs, and nothing was particularly special about his appearance. So when he began to show signs of being a seer, Omen rejoiced. But this joy was only to last for a little while.

His first vision came when he was a mere adolescent. He was looping around clouds, watching his hatch-mates rise on shaky wings, when a vivid image of his brother careening from the sky flashed before his eyes. Startled, his wings froze up and he dropped a good several feet, crashing into Fir and slamming into the ground.

Fir hadn't died that day, going on to serve as an honored one of the Lightweaver, but the memory stayed with Omen forever. The next time he had a vision, he hurried to tell his father, but he was to caught up in his work to fully listen. After that, Omen began to keep his visions to himself.

When Omen was old enough, he left his clan. He knew enough to know that his visions were unique in the fact that they were always negative, and he wanted to know why. Although he had originally intended to visit the Sea of One Thousand Currents, a mild tropical storm blew him off course and he was in the Shadowbinder's domain.

Omen easily made a home in the Tangled Wood. He thrived in the land of tricks and tricksters, for he had no reputations to uphold and could just be free. He began to take interest in his prophecy skills again, learning how to sort through visions of set futures and futures not to be. Finally, he was happy. Finally, he had a place to call home.
