Biography

Hometown: Unknown
Role: Unknown
Qualities: Unknown

Pan, Aether, Circe and Demeter are unique to the tribe because of their abilities and backgrounds, but no dragon can compare to Smaug. He is a living legend and the oldest being in the Realm. Made entirely from jewels and the light of the sun, Smaug is the result of life, magic and history. It is believed he was created as a statue for King Konova, the first dragon King of the Realm, by the sun itself as a gift displaying the world's love for him. King Konova was a proud and brave dragon beloved by his subjects for his power and promises to keep them safe. It is rumored doors burst open for him and the winds bowed down to him and the ocean itself showered his beaches with beautiful shells and treasure.

One day as his soldiers were making a border check, a mysterious presence drew them to a nearby cave, unseen before. Inside they found glittering diamonds and jewels and pearls of all colors, treasure chests the size of horses, and in the center, standing tall and mighty, was a sparkling statue. In the like of King Konova, the statute stood proudly by the side of the throne for years until King Konova was killed and his castle ransacked by berserkers. The berserkers could not find the statue, however, because they did not know of the enchantment between the statue and Line of Kings. It is believed the statue would come to life at the death of a King, momentarily disappearing to safety until the next king is named.

When King Magnus, the last king, met his end after a bloody war, Smaug did not disappear. When King Magnus' son saw this he knew he would not be King and the line was severed. In a fit of rage he ordered his hastily inherited soldiers to destroy the immortal statue. Smaug destroyed the soldiers as well as King Magnus' son, ending the royal bloodline. He then fled with King Konova's ancient Familiar, Blaze the Sunbeam Ursa, to Hyperion. He went straight into Hera's cave and froze himself and Blaze next to Hera's throne without a sound. Only Aether knows the legend of Smaug, as he told it to the clan. This caused speculation, making dragons wonder if Hera is a descendent, a blood relative to King Konova, but we will not know until Smaug wakes up from his slumber.
