Biography
Celestia
Celestia was born to ice parents in a lovely wind tribe. The spitting image of her mother the little princess was special.. she was born during the occultation of a star when the waning gibbous moon was rising. As such she was a gifted mage but her talents were obvious from the start, great soulful eyes, a light touch and she could heal anything from a tiny sparrowmouse to a cactus. Her parents were in awe of her skills, and a little afraid.. her powers were helpful, useful and amazing, but the power behind it was nerve-wracking.. One day near Halloween they let their daughter stray farther than normal, and sadly she was kidnapped by rogue pirates. Her only friend was a cabin-boy who brought her dinner and whistled soft tunes to her at night when she lay down to rest. He could tell she wasn't happy and he longed to set her free. She traveled with them nearly a month before the cabin-boy Seaberry(who was smitten with her) knocked them over the head, stole the life-boat and set sail with Celestia, hoping to return her to her parents. Ah but a fickle November breeze set their tiny boat a-tumbling and churning and it was all Seaberry could do to keep it from sinking. Soon he noticed they were in the ice floes region of the Southern Icefields, and even himself being a wind-dragon he couldn't turn them from the icebergs that smashed upon the sides. He wrestled throughout the night and when morning came he was exhausted. But then he saw her. Standing at the prow softly singing wind playing with her fur early sunrise casting its rays upon her gembound hide.. she was so breath-taking he just stared.. Even dolphins and fish beasts were coming to her, the eddies made from their swimming alongside helped to buoy the the little boat and guide it towards the icy shore.. They were entranced by her too, and they stayed several minutes after the dainty tundra had dismounted. Thanking them, they left and turning, they saw a small snowpile with curls of smoke coming from the icy chimney-hole. It was then she looked at him, eyes aglow she could've asked him for anything, and he'd have given it, her power over him was so great. All she did was smile and you felt the world fall away, nothing else was as important as her. She turned and walked towards the snowbank.. what could he do other than follow? So he did, gladly.
