” You’ll get lost and then you’ll find it.”

Despite the skydancer breed's fierce love and protectiveness over their hatchlings, shortly after his hatching Kasumi managed to flee the nest. It wasn't that he wanted to run away from home, but a curious mind and wild heart had lead him out and away. The entire clan was called out to search for the lost hatchling, though couldn't find him,

Within a day or two he came across a second clan, or more accurately a single member of a second clan. She was a grand skydancer laden with various objects common to most sorcerers, and was working on shaping another section of coral reef into an outpost for their clan. With rumors of rising hostilities, you couldn't be too prepared.

For Kasumi coming across another dragon was a stroke of luck, the hatchling was hungry and needed company. The skydancer Kasumi had come across was Akusaa, and Kasumi quickly idolized her and began to follow her. Akusaa, under the impression that Kasumi was an orphan instead of a lost hatchling, took him back to the clan’s base.

Knowing full well the dangers of being too dependent on a single person, Akusaa immediately began making attempts to get Kasumi to find a place within the clan's den, instead of her own. Kasumi was stubborn though, and stayed with Akusaa despite her many attempts to get the hatchling to stop following her.

In the end, through a long discussion with her mate Shor, it was decided that they would adopt Kasumi and raise him as their own.

Kasumi has since found work as the clan's scout, being the most skilled they've had since Nox.
