Despite her tough appearances Azoth is known throughout the community for her loving and generous nature. During the summer tourist season she works as a fortune teller and has a particular skill for bone and runestone divination. When not impressing outsiders she collects herbs in order to craft natural products, such as soap, hide balm, sugar scrubs, and various poultices. Due to her tendency to forage at night and her low, dark frame, younger hatchlings seeing her from afar often mistake her as a forest ghost. Along with finding materials for her craft she makes a point to pick up edible wild plants and mushrooms and is an excellent cook. Many of her own broods have come and gone, though few have made as much impression as her adoptive daughter Hexen has. Even as a child the pearlcatcher has displayed a willful and difficult personality. Azoth knows she is still young yet and that given enough patience she will bloom into a strong individual. |
