Tangerine is a wise soul, well beyond her years, who keeps a million secrets to those who need a willing ear. She is kind to all, and reverent to all beings, no matter how big or small, dragon or beast. She is devout, but not dedicated to any one god, as she finds all of the founding dragons magical and divine in their own ways. She loves parties surprisingly enough, even if all she does is sit in a corner and sip juice. She may lack sight, but she loves just the descriptions of the lights and banners they hang up every month for the holidays.

B I O G R A P H Y

Tangerine, then known as Bronze, was born in the Fire flight, and hatched blind. Her parents doubted she would have a normal life, and because of this, often coddled her unlike her siblings. Her parents were both blacksmiths in the heart of the Ashfall Wastes, Cinderslag, and were both talented in forging armor and weapons. They, however, were always at work, and couldn't always watch her carefully. When they weren't working, they were devout to the Flamecaller, and scorned the other leaders.

Tangerine would spend her time learning to navigate the world and the crowded smithing town. She learned how to identify smells, and how to learn different dragons from each other, and especially how to measure time and whenever her overprotective parents would return from work. She longed for something more than the smell of the forge and the ashes of newly made weapons, anything other than smoke, sweat, and burning. Her doubt in the Flamecaller grew, as all she could sense was work, magma, and the forge.

It wasn't until she was a young teen that she caught the smell of the sea one day, accompanied by her sister Brass to the cliffs away from the two. The two of them looked down upon the Water Flight domain and could see the celebration of the Wavecrest Saturnalia, partially underwater, but celebrated along the beaches as well. She demanded that Brass describe to her what was happening, and the young Coatl fumbled for a moment before telling her what the sea looked like, what color the lanterns and tropical lights were. The way dragons sang unintelligible words, the instruments they played, the creatures that were with them, every detail until Tangerine had enough. The need to know more about the world called to her, and she needed to learn more than anything. It would be the next month that Brass and Tangerine left the care of their parents.

The two made their way to the beaches, and then across the sea to Flotsam Town, and eventually the Light Domain lands. Brass helped Tangerine fly and kept her safe from anything she couldn't see, and Tangerine always led them to the best food she could smell. The two became travelers, wandering around Sorneith for years, learning about the other head dragons who ruled the elements. The world was bigger than just the forge and ever-erupting volcanoes and ash. It had windy plains, icy cliffs, shadowy pines, clay covered earth, and the music of a thousand different instruments. But, it was the tangerine trees on the edge of the cliffs and rivers between the Shadow and Nature Domain lands that changed her. When asked to describe the color, Brass was silent for a moment before whispering, "Your eyes. They're the color of your eyes." The pale orange fruits gave her the inspiration for her name, which she would discuss heavily with Brass before changing it.

Tangerine took saplings from the trees, and they continued into Shadow territory. There, Brass grew tired of the travels and wanted to return to the Water Domain's beaches, while Tangerine wanted to continue. The two split, and said their goodbyes, but they remain in contact till this day through letters. But Tangerine would be ambushed by a pack of ravenous Mirrors one night, before being saved by a patrol with Orpheus and Zeta. From there, Tangerine would join Deus Carta, and find the magic of the tarot cards fascinating. She would find her home and her place in the clan as a scholar and studier of magic and illusions, as well as a deep belief in all of the Domain founders. Still, next to her den, is a sprawling tangerine tree that she cares for.
