 Calipiri is a wily serpentine coil of trouble. She delights in sowing chaos, and her favorite modus operandi is to enter a clan via its exalt-trainee program, thrill her instructors with her skill and enthusiasm while secretly sabotaging her fellow trainees, and then depart on the very eve of exaltation, usually with stolen treasure in her claws and some kind of catastrophe (preferably one that's on fire) in her wake. The Smokeveil Clan was going to be just another brief stop on her Sornieth-wide journey of havoc and plunder. But then she spotted Cinder returning from a coli expedition, and her immediate thought was: hot plaguey mama—I wanna get with that!

Thus began a very slinky courtship, which, despite a lot of initial suspicion and snarliness on his part, ended with a bemused Cinder and a slyly pleased Calipiri finally hooking up.

Cali is smart enough not to foul her own nest, so now that she's an actual member of the clan, she's behaving herself. Mostly. She's not too good for practical jokes, and her jokes tend to be a bit too sharp-toothed for real comfort, but they're never quite cruel enough to get her into trouble (at least, not the ones that can actually be attributed to her). She also steals, but she limits herself to occasional small but precious items (and Elise's desserts). She appreciates—and cultivates—Cinder's tendency toward cynicism and has been trying to subtly distance him from his family, in the hope that when she finally gets bored of hanging around the Smokeveils, she can lure him along with her to be her partner in crime. His family bonds are proving hard to break, however.


Facts
– She thinks Bean is a complete little priss and mocks her incessantly. Bean responds by flouncing away and then later spreading nasty rumors about her. If Bean was just a tad less nice and more cunning (and had a bit more respect from the other dragons), she could cause real trouble for Cali, but for the time being their feud remains petty.
– She has a strong dislike for Cinder's adopted brother, Taksiz, which she suppresses for the sake of not alienating Cinder, but even so, she's barely able to exchange a civil word with him. If asked, she'd complain that he's just an annoying goody-no-claws, but in truth her reaction is something more visceral, a tension that she can't explain but that prickles underneath her scales.
– She claims to hoard bones—and, to be fair, she does really like bones—but underneath her piles of bones lies her real hoard of pilfered shinies. The bones are stacked in such a way as to collapse into disorderly heaps unless certain pieces are removed in a certain order, making it obvious if anyone else has been messing with her stash.

She was weirded out at first when Whisper, unprompted, bestowed an anomalous nekomata upon her. She's since decided that the cat-thing is actually pretty cool (mostly because it weirds everyone else out) and named it Bane. The nekomata knows much more about her than she realizes, though.
