Born a cold blooded killer. The first thing his mother taught him to do was stealthily end the life of a hen's chick. You see, he was born on the vast countryside near a farm where his mother got her food source from. His father had left before he was born, causing his mother to have a sour attitude.

He was raised with no affection and the stinging edge of hate. His sister, his only sibling, died from a nasty disease. His mom despised him, he was nothing more than another mouth to feed. He himself grew acidic, murdering everything that came in his path. He had no friends. No one loved him, and he loved no one.

One night, as he was dozing, he heard a shrill shriek and something struggling. The shriek cut off abruptly. Asterope experienced something he never experienced before; fear. He fled, quickly and quietly, never once looking back. For his ferocious mother had been killed by something much bigger and stronger

He ended up near the human's power plant. Smoke clouded his lungs as he settled near the oily lake. His breathing was raspy, and his eyes were tearing up as the smoke filled the air. His wings were tattered and ripped by branches which caught on him as he ran. He had no food, and his water source was polluted. He was ever so lonely.
