Cry has had to basically raise her four younger sibling as her parents disappeared years ago, being said to have wandered into 'The Deep', a forbidden part of the cave system in which their home city of Elektravista is built.
Cry quit school- not that she needed it, she excelled in all of her classes- in order to work with her mentor Pan at the tech shop. Pan pays her enough that she's able to provide for her younger siblings, and she gets plenty of chances to work with the latest tech, something she very thoroughly enjoys.
